by Rita Lady As we watch the deterioration of America as we’ve known it, one thing is certain. We have lost our way and much more. A pivotal and decisive moment that would forever alter Judeo-Christian America happened on June 2, 1962. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of 10 students whose parents first presented their case in a lower court, to remove the Bible and prayer from public schools. The “Regents Prayer” as it’s called, was enacted by the New York State Board of Regents and a suburb of Long Island. The prayer reads as follows: “Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers and our Country.” The prayer harkens 1 Timothy 2:1-4 that speaks of living peaceable, dignified, and thankful lives that are pleasing to God. But hey, who wants to be pleasing to God when we're busy divorcing him. Dr. William Jeynes, Professor of Education at California State University, Long Beach postulated that there is a correlation between the Supreme Court’s decision and the decline of U.S. public schools. He weighs in on the effects of the decision with CNSNews.com: "One can argue, and some have, that the decision by the Supreme Court – in a series of three decisions back in 1962 and 1963 – to remove Bible and prayer from our public schools, may be the most spiritually significant event in our nation’s history over the course of the last 55 years,” Jeynes said.” Professor Jeynes noted that since the ruling: • Academic achievement has plummeted, including SAT scores. • Increased rate of out-of-wedlock births • Increase in illegal drug use • Increase in juvenile crime • Deterioration of school behavior In 1940-1962, teachers complained of students chewing gum and talking in class. In 1963, a year after prayer and the Bible was removed, teachers complained of rape, robbery, assault and arson. Fast forward twelve years. The Supreme Court cursed the nation with their ruling in Roe v. Wade so women could forego the chance to put up with such obstinate, inconvenient children. According to a study in 1996-97 by the NCES (National Center for Education Statistics):
The study also revealed that the larger the school the more likelihood of violent crime; a whopping 89%. It is of no surprise then that in 2020, public schools are churning out rioters, arsonists, thieves, lascivious narcissists, and anarchists into the streets in astounding numbers. The type of violence and disregard for life that groups like BLM celebrate and promote are not new, especially to inner cities. Violent crime as listed above has plagued black communities for decades, at least since animalistic evolution, sex education, and Gaia replaced God in public schools. Now, Godless young men and women, whose pathological cultural bend is to terrorize and murder their neighbors, have been emboldened and encouraged by politicians, celebrities, and even clergymen to unleash their wickedness onto the rest of the country...while defunding the police. There are many ways in which we have allowed Godless pontificators/educators to militarize our youth and dim the light of optimism. But removing prayer and the Bible from public schools was an attempt to stamp out eternal purpose, individual accountability, thankfulness, objective truth, and above all, God. This decision has wrought damning indictments on the Judeo-Christian nation that was America, land of the free. It is our, not pseudo-intellectuals, responsibility to teach our children to pray and walk in the ways of God, in humility, hope, thanksgiving and righteousness. If you think it’s the teacher’s job to train up your kids, that’s fine. The professor, the cult-leader, and the government agree with you. "Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, but happy is one who keeps the Law.” (Proverbs 29:18 NASB)
